Accessible Theatre Workshops

We invite theatre-makers with learning differences and their carers to attend two days of creative sharing, please email tiffyhosking@gmail.com if you are interested in taking part in any of these workshops.

Welcoming Dawn is a new piece from Shropshire Inclusive Dance, where three women take on the duty of ensuring the sun rises by ‘dancing-in’ the dawn. Donning all their worldly goods they make their way to tops of mountains, deserted village greens and the sea to celebrate the rising of the sun. They bring in a new day, shedding the previous one. The company will lead a short workshop exploring these themes after the performance.

Join with Ruskin Mill Trust performing arts team as we embark on our new venture together following the adventures of ‘Parzival’. A playful, practical and exploratory workshop drawing on some of the themes and scenes from our cross-trust play written by Peter Oswald. All welcome.

Vamos Central is a drama group for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Join Vamos Central in this high energy, engaging workshop that introduces SEND participants to full mask theatre and sensory-based play, encouraging non-verbal play to create alternative methods of communication.
